Job Description

Zest Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Math’s to join a secondary school in Derby. If you have a passion for teaching and nurturing young minds, we want to hear from you!

Role: Teacher of Math’s
Location: Derby area
Type: Full-time
Start Date: May 2025
Duration: Likely to extend into the next academic year

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan, deliver, and assess Math’s lessons for students in KS3 and KS4.
– Create engaging and tailored learning experiences for a diverse group of students.
– Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and development.
– Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s curriculum.
– Maintain a positive learning environment conducive to academic growth.

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
– Previous experience teaching Math’s at KS3 and KS4 levels.
– Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Math’s.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
– Proficiency in lesson planning and delivery.
– Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
– Commitment to continuous professional development.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
