Midday Supervisor

Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children during their lunchtime break? An exciting opportunity awaits you at our well-rated school in Sandwell! We are looking for a Midday Supervisor to join our team starting in January 2025.

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during their lunchtime hours, from Monday to Friday between 11.30 am and 13.30 pm. While this position is temporary, there is potential for it to become permanent for the right candidate.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with previous experience working with children. You will be expected to but not limited to supervising pupils in the dining hall and other parts of the school, Cleaning up spillages, helping to clear away food and stack tables and chairs, ensuring pupils keep out of areas that are out of bounds, dealing with misbehaviour and reporting any problems they are unable to resolve to the duty teacher, tending to pupils who are sick or injured, ensuring they receive appropriate medical attention, and reporting any serious accidents as well as being aware of responsibilities under child protection legislation, and reporting concerns to a senior supervisor or the head teacher.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
