Early Career Teacher (ECT) Jobs – Solihull

Zest Education are the main provider of staff to the secondary schools located in Solihull and have had a remarkably high demand for Early Career Teachers. Roles required include day to day cover, short-term or long-term placements to start as soon as possible and from January 2025.

We have schools in Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, and the Solihull town centre who work with Zest Education on a regular basis.

General supply Teaching enables applicants to decide which days they would like to work and is extremely flexible around each individuals’ current commitments.

The successful applicant will have:

1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
2. A strong passion for his/her subjects and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
6. Good time management and ICT skills

Excellent rates of pay are available starting from £130 per day. Pay to scale is available after a qualifying period of 12 weeks. If you are an ECT looking for your first teaching opportunity, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
