Are you a passionate and adaptable part time HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) looking for an opportunity in a vibrant primary school? Zest Education is working with a busy and thriving school in Selly Oak to recruit a dedicated, part time HLTA to join their team from September 2026 until Easter 2027.

This school is currently undergoing exciting changes, led by a new and ambitious Senior Leadership Team, who are driving improvements and building a positive, forward-thinking environment for both staff and pupils.

  • Holds an HLTA qualification or has equivalent experience
  • Is confident supporting and leading learning across Early Years and Key Stage 1
  • Can step into lower KS2 when required
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Is flexible, reliable, and thrives in a busy school environment
  • Is committed to contributing to whole-school life and improvement

🏫 The Role

In this varied HLTA role, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning primarily in EYFS and KS1 classrooms
  • Deliver lessons and provide cover when needed
  • Work with small groups and individuals to boost pupil progress
  • Adapt quickly to different classes and teaching styles
  • Contribute to the positive culture and ongoing development of the school
