Part-Time Primary Teacher

Job Description

A warm and inclusive primary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated part‑time Primary Teacher with strong SEND experience to join their team on a long‑term basis. The school is known for its supportive leadership, nurturing ethos and commitment to ensuring every child—particularly those with additional needs—can access learning confidently and successfully. This role suits a teacher who can bring structure, creativity and patience to the classroom while adapting lessons to meet a range of SEND needs across the primary age range.

What the school is looking for

  • PGCE, QTS or QTLS
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching
  • Experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

 

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching primary pupils with a focus on SEND inclusion
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Using targeted strategies to support individual learning needs
  • Working closely with the SENDCo and support staff
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Creating a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
