Part-Time Primary Teacher (PPA Cover) – Kings Heath

0.4 FTE | Two Form Entry School | Long-Term Role | Start ASAP

Zest Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming two form entry primary school in Kings Heath for a part-time Primary Teacher to provide PPA cover across the school.

This is a 0.4 FTE teaching role, starting ASAP, and continuing on a long-term basis for the summer term. The role is ideal for an experienced, adaptable primary teacher who enjoys variety, values teamwork, and brings enthusiasm and creativity into the classroom.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Part-Time Primary Teacher / PPA Cover Teacher
  • Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham
  • Contract: Long-term supply (summer term)
  • Hours: 0.4 (part-time)
  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching during PPA cover across KS1 and KS2
  • Adapt quickly to different year groups and classroom settings
  • Maintain positive behaviour management and continuity of learning
  • Create engaging, inclusive lessons that support pupil progress

Person Specification:

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Is an experienced primary school teacher
  • Is adaptable, reliable and confident covering different classes
  • Has a fun, creative personality and a good sense of humour
  • Enjoys building rapport with pupils and staff alike
  • Hold valid QTS (or equivalent)

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
