Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

A welcoming primary school in Warwick is looking for a part‑time Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children’s learning and wants a role that offers flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.

You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support pupils during lessons, small‑group activities and daily routines. The school has a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where support staff are valued and encouraged to play an active role in pupils’ progress.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children
  • Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification preferred (not essential)
  • Confident supporting pupils across different year groups
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and daily routines
  • Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
  • Providing 1:1 and small‑group support where needed
  • Helping pupils stay engaged, confident and ready to learn
  • Contributing to a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
