Druids Heath, Birmingham | Morning Hours Only | September Start

Are you an experienced and resilient Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role supporting children with additional needs?

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Druids Heath area of Birmingham. This is a morning-only position, providing vital support to pupils with a range of additional needs in a school that serves a community with significant levels of deprivation.

This role would suit a compassionate and proactive individual who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both academically and socially.

The Role

  • Part-time Teaching Assistant position
  • Morning only (8.15am – 12.20pm), Monday to Friday
  • Supporting pupils with high levels of need across the school
  • Working closely with class teachers, parents and the SEND team
  • Assisting with emotional regulation, behaviour management and learning support
  • Helping to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role
  • Be confident supporting children with high behavioural and additional learning needs
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience and a nurturing approach
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children from diverse backgrounds
