We are currently looking for a part-time teaching assistant for a special educational needs school located in Walsall. This school caters for students from the age of five to seventeen with severe and profound complex learning difficulties.

This position is a due to start ASAP and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year, on a part-time basis. You must be able to work 3 days a week which can be discussed at interview.

The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals. The chosen candidate will be required to work in several classrooms, supporting children with their day-to-day activities. The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of age groups.

The role:

  • You will need to be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs.
  • You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and students
  • You will need to be passionate to build trusting relationships with the children to help them manage the learning challenges they may face.
