PE Teacher – Male

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a full time PE Teacher (male) for a Secondary school in the Shropshire area of Telford. This role is set to commence January 2025 for an initial period of one term but this is likely to extend.

The ideal candidate should have excellent classroom and behaviour management with experience of leading practical sessions with groups of 30+. Ideally subject knowledge up to KS5 would be preferable as PE is a popular subject taken up at A Level. A male PE Teacher is required due to changing room supervision.

The school have had recent investments in to their sports facilities with new state of the art equipment and facilities which has promoted a high standard of sports and PE Lessons. The School itself boasts a large campus with plenty of parking on site for staff. The school strives to inspire students to achieve their best and offer a variety of different experiences for them.

A successful applicant will have the following:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for PE as a subject and a vast knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • The desire to work as part of the larger department and with the wider school
  • The ability to be involved and lead extracurricular PE clubs and activities

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
