Photography & Art Teacher

Job Description

  • Photography and Art Teacher
  • Permanent
  • September 2025
  • Harrow, NW London

Zest Education is working in partnership with a respected independent school in North West London, currently seeking a talented and experienced Photography and Art Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary in line with the Outer London pay scale, based on national teacher pay scales.

The school caters to students aged 11 to 21 and offers a calm, focused learning environment with smaller class sizes. This setting allows teachers to prioritise high-quality teaching and creativity without the frequent disruption of behaviour management challenges found in many larger settings.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across both Photography and Art, including at GCSE and A-Level

  • Plan and implement a creative and challenging curriculum that supports student development

  • Work within a supportive, well-resourced department with a strong emphasis on academic and artistic achievement

  • Full-time, permanent role beginning September 2025

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has at least 3 years’ teaching experience in London

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in both Photography and Art

  • Has experience teaching KS3–KS5 with a track record of student success

  • Thrives in a setting with smaller class sizes and values the ability to build meaningful relationships with students

  • Possesses excellent classroom management and a passion for visual arts education
