Physics Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and innovative Physics Teacher to join the wider Science department at a local Walsall Secondary School from September 2024. The role is full time with the potential of being part time (0.8) for the right candidate.

At their last Ofsted rating the school came out ‘Good’ and they continue to have high standards and achievements and learning. The school pride themselves on their ethos of ensuring all students achieve the best they can whilst becoming the best versions of themselves. This is supported by a caring and nurturing SLT guiding staff through any extra training they want or may need.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Physics and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
