Part-Time EYFS PPA Teacher (0.6)

September – December 2026
Birmingham

Zest Education is pleased to be working with a popular and well‑regarded Infant School in the Druids Heath area, who are seeking a Part-Time EYFS PPA Teacher from September 2026 on a long term basis.

This is a 0.6 contract, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner to work within a nurturing, child‑centred setting. The school has a strong local reputation, a positive Ofsted judgement, and is known for its welcoming atmosphere and supportive leadership team.

The Role:

  • Providing high-quality PPA cover within EYFS, with some involvement in KS1
  • Delivering engaging, play‑based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting children’s development across the prime and specific areas of learning
  • Working closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of care and learning

Person Specification:

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds valid QTS
  • Has strong experience in EYFS (KS1 experience welcomed)
  • Demonstrates a flexible and reflective approach to teaching
  • Is friendly, nurturing and approachable
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team
  • Is consistent, reliable and well organised
  • Brings a good sense of humour and a positive outlook to the role
