Job Description

Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school that is committed to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This role begins in January 2026 and is offered as a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, on a long‑term contract. You will be working with pupils in KS1, planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and build strong foundations for learning. Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and SLD, you will ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed both academically and socially.

As a KS1 Teacher, you will create a safe and stimulating classroom environment, adapt lessons to meet individual needs, and collaborate with teaching assistants to provide effective support. You will monitor progress, contribute to education plans, and implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and confidence. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues will be central to your role in supporting holistic development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching children within KS1.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and approaches to differentiation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Classroom management expertise and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and SLD.
  • A genuine passion for helping young learners reach their full potential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
