Primary Teacher

Job Description

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Towcester is now seeking a committed Primary Teacher to join their team full‑time from September. As you step into this role, you immediately become a central part of the classroom, guiding pupils through engaging lessons that support their academic progress, confidence and curiosity. Additionally, you work closely with the wider teaching team each day, ensuring learning is well‑structured, inclusive and inspiring for all pupils.

Moreover, this position offers a range of purposeful responsibilities that make each day both dynamic and rewarding. You plan and deliver high‑quality lessons, assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Furthermore, you promote positive behaviour, encourage emotional development and help create a classroom culture where every child feels valued, motivated and ready to succeed.

 

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher

  • Planning and delivering lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and school leaders

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong teaching experience within primary education
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and reflective teaching approach
  • Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
  • Confidence delivering lessons to primary‑aged pupils
  • Full‑time availability Monday–Friday from September
  • Interest in primary teaching roles in Towcester
