Primary Teacher – Year 2

A welcoming primary school in Coventry seeks a confident Year 2 Teacher for a full‑time September start. You deliver clear, engaging lessons that help pupils progress with confidence. Moreover, you create calm routines that support focus and positive behaviour. In addition, you work closely with the team to maintain strong communication and consistent expectations. Throughout the day, you guide pupils through structured tasks and encourage steady academic growth.

Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher

• Use effective routines to support focus and reduce anxiety
• Deliver guided reading and phonics that strengthen early literacy
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra support
• Promote positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Work closely with teaching assistants to maintain consistent provision
• Track pupil progress and adjust teaching when needed

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified Primary Teacher with strong KS1 experience
• Confidence teaching Year 2 pupils
• Clear communication and a warm, nurturing approach
• Ability to follow structured routines and support emotional regulation
• Full‑time availability from September
• Interest in Coventry‑based roles
