Teaching Assistant – Lichfield

📍 Location: Lichfield
📅 Start Date: ASAP – December 2025 (with potential for extension)
💷 Pay: Competitive rate of pay

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join this fantastic school as soon as possible, with the role running through until the end of December 2025, and the possibility of extension into the new year. This is a full-time, term-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

You will be working closely with class teachers to support pupils across the classroom, and may also work one-to-one or in small groups to provide targeted learning support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery

  • Supporting pupils with their learning, helping to boost confidence and engagement

  • Working with individual children and small groups to meet specific learning needs

  • Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to helping them succeed.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) – desirable but not essential

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting

  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum

  • A current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
