Zest Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Lichfield, known for its supportive leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. We are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join this fantastic school as soon as possible, with the role running through until the end of December 2025, and the possibility of extension into the new year. This is a full-time, term-time position, ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
You will be working closely with class teachers to support pupils across the classroom, and may also work one-to-one or in small groups to provide targeted learning support.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting the teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery
Supporting pupils with their learning, helping to boost confidence and engagement
Working with individual children and small groups to meet specific learning needs
Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to helping them succeed.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) – desirable but not essential
Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
A good understanding of the primary curriculum
A current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

Strong teamwork and flexibility
Ability to use initiative and follow instructions effectively
Passion for supporting the development of young learners

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
