Primary Teaching Assistant

A well‑established and supportive primary school in the South Birmingham area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting children’s learning and development within a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Provide high‑quality support to the class teacher in the delivery of daily learning activities
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote progress and engagement
• Assist with behaviour support, contributing to a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Prepare learning materials and support the smooth organisation of the school day
• Help create and maintain a nurturing environment where all pupils feel valued and encouraged

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience working with children in a school (at least 3 months)
• A patient, proactive, and professional approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting pupil development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Creativity, positivity, and reliability, contributing to a purposeful and engaging learning environment
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
