Religious Education (RE) Teacher

Zest Recruitment is delighted to be working with an exceptional secondary school in the Derby area that prides itself on its strong values, supportive ethos, and outstanding Ofsted report. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to become part of a vibrant team that truly values both its staff and students. This role is due to start in January 2026.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop an understanding and appreciation of different faiths, beliefs, and cultures.
  • Encourage critical thinking, reflection, and respectful discussion on moral, ethical, and philosophical issues.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities, such as debates, trips, or themed events that enhance students’ cultural and spiritual development.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate and supportive RE department.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.
  • A passion for promoting understanding, tolerance, and respect for different beliefs and perspectives.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
