Zest Education are recruiting for an RE teacher to join a well-known secondary school in the Solihull area. This is a full-time role for two academic terms starting in January 2024.

The academy believe that excellent teaching and support, world-class facilities and outstanding resources combine to give their students the best possible preparation for their adult life.

The academy provides students with access to state-of-the-art sports and performing arts facilities, free music tuition to students on top of their scheduled music lessons, pairing with local engineers to provide bike maintenance and repair workshops, and an exciting science club which engages students in research and experiments which expand upon and support the science curriculum.

The school ensure a broad curriculum is offered, which supports students in developing their knowledge, understanding and skills in all aspects of the National Curriculum.

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of RE and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS5
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience, ranging from £153-£211 a day.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
