Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting a passionate and dedicated Reception Class Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Rednal. This is an excellent opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners looking to work in a supportive and nurturing Early Years environment.


About the Role

This is a full-time Reception teaching position, initially running until the end of the Spring Term 2027, with a strong possibility of continuing for the full academic year.

You will take full responsibility for your class, delivering a creative and engaging EYFS curriculum while ensuring all pupils make excellent progress socially, emotionally and academically.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full class teaching responsibilities within Reception (EYFS)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences
  • Supporting development in early literacy and numeracy
  • Assessing progress in line with EYFS frameworks
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contributing to wider school life, including extra-curricular activities
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leadership

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Be a creative, engaging and enthusiastic teacher
  • Show strength in supporting early phonics, reading, writing and maths skills
  • Demonstrate a nurturing approach to child development
  • Be a proactive and reliable team player
