Location: Bournville area

Zest Education are recruiting for a part‑time Resource Base Teaching Assistant to join a busy and welcoming two‑form entry primary school in the Bournville area. This long‑term role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking for a highly rewarding challenge.

The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or above) and have experience working with pupils who require additional support. You will be working within a small resource base provision, offering tailored intervention, nurturing support and helping pupils access learning in a structured and supportive environment.

The role includes:

  • Supporting children within the resource base who have a range of additional needs
  • Providing structured interventions and tailored support
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff
  • Helping create a safe, positive and nurturing environment
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 TA qualification in childcare (or above)
  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEND
  • Be patient, resilient and passionate about helping children succeed
  • Be able to adapt, multitask and work effectively within a busy school setting
  • Bring a positive, caring approach to every day

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
