School Administrator

Location: Burntwood, Staffordshire

Hours: 8am – 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Ongoing (opportunity for Permanent role for the right candidate)

Start: June 2026

Zest Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Administrator to join a Primary Academy in Burntwood, Staffordshire. The school are looking for talented and committed staff to join them in their mission to provide the highest standard of education for their pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general office duties supporting the Office Coordinator, such as dealing with enquiries from visitors / parents in person or over the telephone, producing letters, photocopying, filing, etc.
  • Provide administration support to the Headteacher and wider Senior Leadership Team.
  • Ensure all electronic management and HR systems are up to date.
  • Contact parents as required throughout the school day.
  • Respond to correspondence via the school’s main email address or forward to relevant staff as appropriate.
  • Support school staff with the organisation of open events, parents evenings, etc.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that all safeguarding and child protection procedures are adhered to.

What you’ll Need:

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • Previous experience working in an office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable being first point of contact with customers and visitors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
