School Business Manager, Lichfield

Job Description

Zest Education are closely working with a Secondary School in Lichfield who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Manager to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the school, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with regulations. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the school community during a crucial period.

Key responsibilities may include:
– Managing the school’s budget and financial resources
– Overseeing payroll and procurement processes
– Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
– Supervising administrative staff and supporting their professional development
– Collaborating with senior leadership to develop strategic plans and policies
– Handling HR matters, such as recruitment and performance management
– Building relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and government agencies

Qualifications and Requirements:
– Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting
– Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budget management
– Excellent organizational and communication skills
– Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to school administration
– Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
– Relevant qualifications in business management or a related field

This is a full-time temporary role to start in April 2025 until at least December 2025.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
