School Secretary

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Start: June 2026

Hours: Mon-Fri (8am to 4pm)

Contract: Ongoing

Zest Education are looking to recruit an experienced and committed School Secretary to join our partnered school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic school and be  a welcoming first point of contact for their school community!

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative support for pupils, parents and the community
• Being first point of contact for visitors and parents.
• Keeping accurate records, ensuring all school systems are up-to-date.
• Handling queries via telephone and email, promptly and professionally.
• Attendance Monitoring and Reporting

What You’ll Need:

• Enhanced DBS Check (Or be willing to obtain one)
• Previous experience in an administration role (Ideally in a school setting)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Have a positive, can-do attitude

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
