Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire

Start: ASAP

Hours: Mon-Friday (10am to 12pm)

Salary: £14.25 /per hour

Contract: Ongoing

Zest Education are actively recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a well-established Secondary School in Rugeley. The school offers a cutting-edge Science centre, featuring spacious, state-of-the-art laboratories and extensive resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Giving technical advice to teachers, technicians and pupils.
• Preparation of resources, assembling apparatus and setting up demonstrations for teachers.
• Organising, storing and checking the condition of chemicals and equipment.
• Giving health & safety advice to teachers, technicians and pupils.
• Safe treatment and disposal of used materials including hazardous substances and responding to actual or potential hazards.
• To support the Head of Department in ensuring the availability of suitable materials and equipment.

You will need:

• A strong science background.
• Previous experience in a similar role (Ideally in a school setting)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An Enhanced DBS (Or willingness to complete one)
