SEN 1:1 Primary School Teaching Assistant Required in Wolverhampton

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant in Wolverhampton to support a pupil with additional learning needs within a welcoming and inclusive school environment.

This rewarding role is ideal for an experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will provide tailored 1:1 support, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver effective interventions and promote positive educational outcomes.

About the Role

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide individual support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual requirements.
  • Support the child’s academic, social and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals and parents.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and support plans.
  • Help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Wolverhampton, you should have:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting.
  • Knowledge of additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs or SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
