Zest Education is recruiting a patient, caring, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive primary school in Loughborough from September 2025. This role offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring full access to the curriculum
Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
Support learning across the classroom while maintaining a focus on the individual child’s progress
Encourage positive social interaction and emotional development
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to monitor and review progress
Help create an inclusive and nurturing environment
✅ Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Patience, empathy, and adaptability
✅ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
