Zest Education are helping a Leamington Spa SEND school recruit for a specialist teacher for a role starting immediately.

The role

As the SEND class teacher, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of group and one to one learning plans to a high standard. You will lead and direct learning support assistants within your class. and attend any required staff meetings as required.

Zest Education are looking for a SEND teacher with QTS who has direct experience of working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as a proven ability to motivate students and promote learning. Alongside this, you must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to work in the Leamington Spa area.

This school based in Leamington Spa specialises in the education of students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from primary through to secondary age.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will:

  • Hold UK QTS
  • Be available to start before the end of the academic year
  • Have experience of teaching both KS1/KS2 curriculum
  • Be reliable, flexible and creative
  • Have experience supporting children with Autism
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference
  • Moving and handling is highly desirable
  • SEN training and CPD is highly desirable

Excellent rates of pay are available starting from £120 per day. Pay to scale is available after a qualifying period of 12 weeks. If you are an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) looking for your first teaching opportunity, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
