SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive school in Leicester. This is an immediate start position, ideal for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with a range of SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning strategies

  • Create a safe, positive and inclusive environment for learning

  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)

  • A patient, caring and resilient nature

  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach

  • A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
