Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher looking for a part‑time role where you can make a meaningful impact? A warm, supportive SEND school in Warwick is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team on a part‑time basis, working three days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a specialist environment and is committed to helping pupils with diverse needs achieve their full potential.

 

About the Role

You will be teaching small groups of pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic progress, emotional development and independence. Working closely with support staff, therapists and the wider SEND team, you’ll help create a structured, nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued and understood.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high‑quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and well‑structured classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff
  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
  • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience teaching pupils with SEND
  • A patient, adaptable and child‑centred approach
  • Confidence planning and delivering personalised learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to working three days per week

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
