Supply Teacher

Job Description

Looking for flexible working while trying to get a bit more experience in school? Zest work with the majority of schools across the West Midlands, with schools in Walsall in particular, looking for supply teachers. This will start in September and we can be very flexible in that we will get you work on the days you want to work, whether its 1 or 5 days.

A good cover supervisor will be supportive, creative, and passionate in what they do. All these qualities the schools find help get the best out of the students while also having them enjoy the lessons you are covering. It is also a great way of flexible working and being able to work around any current commitments. If this sounds like something you would be interested in please get in touch!

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for several subjects and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team work ethic and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Be reliable
  7. A quick learner who can adapt to a range of schools
  8. Good time management

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
