Teacher of Economics

Job Description

Zest Education are working closely alongside a high performing school in the Burton area and have been asked to assist with the search for an Economics Teacher. This role is full time and will commence October 2024 for a minimum of half term.

The school are looking for an experienced Economics teacher to plan and deliver high quality lessons across KS4 and KS5. A successful applicant will be passionate about their subject whilst wanting to work collaboratively with the departmental team.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Economics and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5
  • A team ethos and desire to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
