Zest is recruiting for a full-time Teacher of English at a large secondary school in Walsall to start ASAP. The role will initially start on a long-term basis with a view to becoming permanent in the new academic year.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive departmental team that puts their students at the centre of all that they do. The school encourages its students every day to learn, be respectful, and stay safe to prepare them for the future. The school is well-situated and easily accessible by private or public transport.

The successful Teacher of English will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
  • A team ethos and a desire to be part of a strong team environment.
  • The ability to plan, mark, and deliver high-quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long-term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behavior management skills.

Rates of pay will vary depending on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
