Job Description

Zest Education are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher for an exceptional secondary school in the Stourbridge area. The school is renowned for its outstanding reputation and exceptionally high standards of teaching. This is a full-time role where planning and marking is involved. The role is due to commence in September 2024 and will run for a minimum of one term.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding results and will be able to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential. You will have excellent subject knowledge and be able to effectively communicate complex historical concepts to students of all abilities. The school is committed to providing high-quality professional development opportunities for all staff and offers a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Key responsibilities:

– Delivering high-quality history lessons to students from KS3 to KS5
– Creating engaging and challenging lesson plans
– Assessing and monitoring student progress
– Providing feedback and support to students to help them reach their full potential
– Collaborating with colleagues to share best practice and resources
– Participating in school-wide initiatives and events
– Maintaining accurate records of student achievement and attendance

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Degree in History or related subject
– Experience teaching history at Key Stages 3 to 5
– Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students
– Commitment to professional development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
