Teacher of Performing Arts

Job Description

Zest Education are currently looking for a passionate Teacher of Performing Arts to join a secondary school in the Dudley area. The school are looking for someone who can inspire and engage students in performing arts, helping them develop their skills and appreciation for music, drama, and dance. This is a full-time role that will involve planning and marking. The role is due to commence in April 2025 and will run for a minimum of one term.

Responsibilities:

– Delivering high-quality performing arts lessons to students at various levels
– Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons
– Assessing and providing constructive feedback on students’ work
– Organising and leading extracurricular activities and performances
– Collaborating with other performing arts teachers to create cohesive and comprehensive curriculums

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
– Experience teaching performing arts in a secondary school setting
– Knowledge of the music curriculum is highly desirable
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students
– Strong organisational and time-management skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
