Teacher of Spanish

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a Spanish speaking teacher to join an outstanding secondary school in the Stourbridge area. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for both staff and students. The successful candidate will join a dedicated and passionate team of educators who are committed to providing a high standard of education for their students. This is a full-time role where planning and marking will be required. The role is due to commence in April 2025 and is expected to run for one term.

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons to secondary school students
– Utilise a variety of resources and materials to engage students and enhance understanding
– Create lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students
– Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects
– Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and growth
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
– Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Spanish
– Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students to learn and achieve their full potential
– Organisational skills to effectively plan and manage workload
– High standards of professionalism and commitment to excellence in teaching

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
