Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote, who are looking to appoint a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant. This full-time position is set to begin in October 2025 and will continue until the end of the autumn term.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the classroom, supporting the teacher and pupils throughout the school day. Responsibilities will include:
Providing targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with special educational needs.
Assisting the class teacher with the preparation of learning activities and resources.
Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, focused learning environment.
Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Helping with daily classroom routines and administrative tasks as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience working in a primary school setting, ideally across Key Stages 1 and/or 2.
A calm, patient, and encouraging approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative when needed.
A good understanding of child development and the national curriculum.
Confidence in supporting children with additional or complex needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
