Salary: £89- £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Zest Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Stafford, who are looking for a dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping young children flourish both academically and personally.
As a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2. Your role will involve providing classroom assistance, delivering small group interventions, and ensuring that every child feels confident and supported in their learning journey.
Support teaching and learning activities across the KS1 curriculum.
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help raise attainment.
Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Encourage children’s independence, curiosity and confidence.
Assist the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom organisation.
Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
Experience working with children in an educational setting (KS1 experience desirable).
A positive, patient and caring attitude towards supporting young learners.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of early learning development and how to engage young children effectively.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
