Full‑Time Resource Base Teaching Assistant
Rednal, West Midlands

Starting ASAP – Long‑Term (Minimum 3 Months)
Level 3 + Paediatric First Aid (PFA) Required

Zest Education are recruiting for a dedicated and confident Resource Base Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming infant setting in the Rednal area. This is a full‑time, long‑term position starting as soon as possible, with the potential to continue beyond the initial three‑month period.

Role Responsibilities

As a Resource Base TA, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils within the school’s specialist resource base provision.
  • Assist with delivering structured learning activities and differentiated interventions.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to meet each pupil’s individual needs.
  • Support pupils in developing communication, social and emotional skills.
  • Maintain clear routines and consistent boundaries to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Build supportive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, calm and ready to learn.
  • Contribute to assessments, observations and progress reports when required.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing at all times.

Requirements (Essential)

  • Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Paediatric First Aid (PFA) qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND or working in a specialist provision is highly desirable.
  • Confident, calm and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Ideally own transport, due to the school’s location and limited public transport links.
  • Ability to commit to a full‑time, long‑term role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
