Level 3 Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Year 4) – Harborne

Full time | Immediate start | Until end of academic year

Zest Education is proud to be recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Junior and Infant school in Harborne. This full‑time, long‑term position is based on the Juniors site, supporting a Year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis who requires help with behaviour, focus, and engagement.

The Role

As a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support a Year 4 pupil who needs consistent guidance with behaviour regulation, concentration and classroom routines
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual strategies and personalised support
  • Help the pupil stay engaged, motivated and ready to learn throughout the school day
  • Encourage positive choices and promote emotional resilience
  • Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential
  • Experience supporting children with behavioural or additional needs – essential
  • A calm, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
