This is a part-time position designed for someone who thrives in a classroom environment but requires the flexibility of afternoon finishes.
You will be supporting a Key Stage 1 or 2 class, working closely with the Lead Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide tailored support to small groups of pupils.
Assisting in the delivery of literacy and numeracy interventions.
Supporting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and resource management.
Providing 1:1 support for students who require extra guidance.
Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Supervising outdoor play and promoting social development.
Please Note: Due to the immediate needs of the classroom, we can only consider candidates with direct, recent experience working within a primary school setting.
Experience: Proven track record of supporting teaching in a UK Primary School.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills.
DBS: An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Disposition: A patient, proactive, and “can-do” attitude.
