Teaching Assistant

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Coventry is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone who has strong classroom experience, confidence supporting pupils with additional needs, and a calm, nurturing approach. You will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils access learning, build confidence and feel secure within the classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
• Confident supporting pupils in the classroom
• SEND experience is highly desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Calm, patient and proactive approach
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Role Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
• Helping pupils stay engaged, confident and ready to learn
• Supporting behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive and well‑organised classroom environment
