Job Description

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Leamington Spa is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time basis, Monday to Friday. This role is ideal for someone who holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification and has solid classroom experience supporting pupils across the primary age range.

You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, deliver small‑group activities and help create a positive, structured and engaging classroom environment.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Strong classroom experience in a primary setting
  • Confident supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Positive, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

 

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and daily routines
  • Delivering small‑group interventions and targeted support
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and preparation
  • Helping pupils stay engaged, confident and ready to learn
  • Supporting behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and well‑organised classroom environment
