Full-Time Level 3 Teaching Assistant Required in Northfield

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join a busy and thriving primary school in Northfield. This rewarding full-time role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s educational journey and emotional development.

About the Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 3 pupil who requires additional support to access learning and manage their behaviour in the classroom environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil develop positive relationships, build confidence and engage successfully with their learning. The role will require patience, resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent when responding to challenging situations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Supporting the pupil’s social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and individual plans
  • Encouraging positive engagement with learning activities
  • Building a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil
  • Working closely with class teachers, SEND staff and external professionals
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records when required
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
