Teaching Assistant

Job Description

A supportive SEND school now seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full‑time September start. As you begin this role, you take an active position in the classroom and offer focused 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. You work closely with teachers and help create a calm, structured and encouraging learning environment. Moreover, you guide pupils through daily tasks and help them build confidence, independence and emotional stability. Additionally, you support positive behaviour and ensure each child feels safe, understood and ready to learn.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • 1:1 SEND support for pupils with complex needs
  • Daily routines that promote structure and consistency
  • Positive behaviour to strengthen emotional development
  • Adapted learning that helps pupils access lessons
  • Team collaboration with teachers and SEND staff
