Teaching Assistant

Job Description

A welcoming primary school in Leamington Spa now seeks a confident Teaching Assistant for a full‑time September start. As you begin this role, you support learning with clarity and enthusiasm. Additionally, you will work closely with teachers to maintain a calm and structured classroom. In addition, you assist with PPA cover and lead learning when required. Throughout the day, you guide groups through tasks, reinforce key concepts and help pupils stay focused. Moreover, the role is for an experienced Teaching Assistant.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lessons across the primary curriculum with consistency and care
  • Assist with PPA cover and deliver planned learning activities
  • Lead small‑group tasks that strengthen understanding and build confidence
  • Maintain clear routines to promote structure and positive behaviour
  • Support emotional development through calm and nurturing guidance
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure strong and consistent provision

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with strong classroom experience
  • Confidence supporting lessons and assisting with PPA cover
  • Understanding of SEND to support diverse needs
  • Clear communication with pupils, staff and families
  • Full‑time availability from September
  • Interest in Leamington Spa roles
