Part-Time SEND Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only) – Rubery, Birmingham

Monday to Friday | Morning Hours Only | £95 – £110 per day

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding part-time role within a supportive and inclusive school environment?

A welcoming primary school in the Rubery area of Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join its team on a morning-only basis, Monday to Friday.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who enjoys working across a range of abilities and needs.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide high-quality support to pupils with a variety of SEND needs
  • Work on a 1:1 basis with individual pupils when required
  • Support children within the school’s dedicated Resource Base
  • Adapt your approach to meet differing learning, communication and behavioural needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and other support professionals
  • Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and engagement in learning
  • Assist wherever needed across the school to ensure pupils receive the support they need

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEND – essential
  • Is calm, patient and nurturing
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is flexible, adaptable and happy to support across different areas of the school
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary

£95 – £115 per day (pro rata), paid on a weekly basis (PAYE).
