Location: Moseley, Birmingham
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:20am – 3:40pm
Start Date: September 2026 (Full Academic Year)
Potential for Permanent Contract

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Moseley. This is a full-time, term-time position supporting a child on a 1:1 basis throughout the academic year.  There is potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The school is a well-established two-form entry primary school with excellent facilities. The school benefits from a supportive team committed to helping every child achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil who has additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the child’s academic progress. You will also monitor and support their emotional wellbeing, and day-to-day engagement within the classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or a releavant childcare qualification)
• Have experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD
• Be a positive and responsible role model
• Demonstrate consistency, dedication, and reliability
• Remain calm and professional in challenging or stressful situations
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Be committed to supporting children with additional learning and behavioural needs

Requirements

• Level 3 Childcare or Education qualification
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
• Relevant experience within a school or educational setting
• Previous experience of working with children with additional needs
