Teaching Assistant

A supportive school in Nuneaton seeks a confident SEND Teaching Assistant for a part‑time role. The position focuses on providing calm, structured support for pupils with additional needs. The role suits someone bringing strong SEND experience and a patient, consistent approach. In addition, the TA works closely with teachers and support staff to deliver adapted tasks, clear routines and targeted interventions that help pupils feel safe, regulated and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SEND classroom support across lessons and daily routines
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group interventions that build confidence and independence
• Use clear routines to reduce anxiety and promote stability
• Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra guidance
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with strong knowledge of additional needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, communication needs or emotional regulation challenges
• Clear communication and a calm, patient approach
• Ability to follow structured routines and provide consistent support
• Part‑time availability
• Interest in Nuneaton‑based SEND roles
